Can someone explain to me what xenophobia is? I know I've been told before but isn't it similar to racism?

Essentially, it's fear or hatred of foreigners. 

It can very well go in line with racism tbh.

Xenophobia is more all-encompassing than racism, which is race-based xenophobia. Xenophobia can be considered a "fear of outsiders". So it includes antisemitism, racism, fear/discrimination of other ethnicities/nationalities/cultures, and also fear/discrimination of people with other sexualities, although people usually don't use the term xenophobia for the last one.

 

It is mainly used to refer to discrimination of people from different cultures/countries though.

I mean...it's not like we didn't know.
People have the right to not like BTS.
People don't have the right to be disrespectful to them.

Or any kpop group tbh.
