I said I wouldn't upload more BB stuff because I unstanned them. But this issue here is too important for me to ignore:

1. Where is Anh? Is BYU panicking now that they couldn't gain the mass viet Kpop fandom(their fault)and now in a proccess of removing her?

2. Fandom name is Lukey. Sounds too similar to Secret Number fandom Lockey. I predict some Lockey fans will take offence of this and they are a big fandom.

Uh oh, BYU is in trouble. The dislikes are increasing in their fandom revealing video

BY-U Entertainment put that video on private which means that they might change the name of their fandom after maybe.

Maybe it was a scandal video to create a buzz to become more well known (maybe advised by TNT Production or inspired by TNT Prodution of creating scandals with Zero 9).

If that's the case, then BYU is dumber than I thought. This company has mismanaged the group since day 1. We'll be lucky to even have a comeback. They are broke, have no money, no connections in the Kpop community, no planning whatsoever, the music production is even lower than the standard of Vpop and it's almost as they just debuted this group for fun.

They now being attacked by Lockey in other Beauty Box videos. With tiny support from vietnamese fans, I don't know how long this group will last.

Sara and Jerin has deleted their IG.

BYU is naive to think they can pull a scandal to get successful in Korea. A scandal in Korea will end one's career, unlike in Vietnam where some artists can get famous. They need to rebrand the group and cut ties with Tang Nhat Tue.

Have they lost all their current trainees? The Rookie - Oppa MV you posted doesn't give me confidence SB can deliver a successful group. I don't even think they can reach the same level as UNI5 and UNI5 isn't popular.

I don't know if they have lost all their current trainees but in general, they erase one person on their banner on their official Youtube channel each time one of them leave :

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEh33uELjJKPOloT3xHk6CQ/videos

They have not changed the banner recently.

I don't think that the upcoming Vietnamese girl band of SB Entertainment will reach the same level of popularity of UNI5, I even doubt that they will not even reach the same level of popularity of the Vietnamese girl band Polaris Idol Group (least popular Vietnamese group) who works for the Japanese company 3W Entertainment inc. who also manages the Japanese girl band C-Style.

SB Entertainment has lower subs than Polaris Idol Group :

I feel like Vpop should focus more on groups like Chillies. To be honest, I've been listening more to them and they are not that bad. Da Lab has some good songs and there should be more like them as well. The idol culture is probably going underground now. Now that Anh has debuted in Kpop, vietnamese should try audition for K-companies and see if they can get through. Would rather vietnamese try that out then try making homegrown groups.

Chillies is the most popular Vietnamese rock band and Da Lab is the most popular Vietnamese hip hop band.

What made a lot of those V-pop songs popular on Tik Tok are the remixes with Vinahouse music style (which is a Vietnamese variant of EDM) which is like a Vietnamese signature music style.

The reason why SGO48 wanted to make their upcoming first original song an EDM is due to EDM music being popular in Vietnam.

If V-pop incorporate more Vinahouse mixed with traditional Vietnamese music then it might have some interesting sounds that will give a more distinctive music style identity to modern Vietnamese music.

I am more confident that in the future in V-pop will have a more distinctive identity than C-pop and T-pop because C-pop and T-pop are struggling more to have their own music style identity.

And you can see and hear that K-pop and J-pop are distinct.

V-pop became more popular than T-pop while it was less popular than T-pop before the second half of the 2010s.

V-pop is becoming distinct and might become more popular than C-pop in the future if C-pop doesn't find their own distinctive music style identity.

When you hear music without watching, you can hear:

Ah that's K-pop, ah that's J-pop without even seeing anything.

This is what music from other ethnicities need to be able to do which is to have their own distinctive music style identity.

This is ignorant to the point of delirious. V-pop has become more popular than T-pop? C-pop and T-pop had no distinct color?

C-pop and T-pop have always had their own distinguishable sounds but, whether those sounds are marketable internationally is another subject. Also, various factors beyond distinctness determine if the music industry of a nation can be popular beyond borders.

Spoiler

C-pop

T - pop

I looked at the comments written in foreign languages on T-pop music videos and V-pop music videos and asked people if they listen to T-pop and V-pop. From my experience, I see more people listening to V-pop than T-pop.

What I mean is that you need to let somebody listen to the music without hearing the language, without seeing the video, without knowing the name of song then ask them which kind of music it is.

Test it then tell the results.

Vpop is not popular outside of Vietnam. Barely anyone heard of the genre. Even the Phun Hot tiktok song, many don't know it's from Vietnam when asked.

Sure Son Tung M-TP made some songs that attracted some international viewers, but it's very casual and no established fanbase.

The ballad and sad song centric is still heavily used in vietnamese music and the industry is still fragile. Vietnam is still a developing country and the lowest ranked amongst major SEA countries like Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and even the Philippines.

Stop using youtube comments as an indication. And, you should be aware of "echo chamber". Those in your circle may be more familiar to V-pop thus, V-pop appeared as if more popular to you. If I tried to check out the popularity of T-pop, it must appear more popular than V-pop to me too.

It's impossible that someone listening to T-pop without knowing it's T-pop. Anyway, I saw/heard foreign reactions to T-pop and some said T-pop sounded different from usual K-pop/western pop. Neither I belief a random foreigner absolutely stranger to Vietnamese and Thai languages can tell the difference between Viet and Thai EDM.
