I never paid much attention to AOA and I went into the show supporting Gidle, but AOA's performances have completely won me over. They've truly been the dark horse of the show and the number of times I have rewatched their Egotistic stage is seriously unhealthy. After all the shit they went through with the scandals, leaving members and Korea losing faith in them, I'm really rooting for them to win. I had no idea Seolhyun could sound like this, but I'm loving it. Spoiler I will say that the original version has a bit more personality to it, though. You can't deny that MMM have 4 really distinct voices which are always recognizable even to non MMM fans. They also add a bit more power to the song, vocally emphasizing certain parts of the song that imo definitely benefits from that. AOA's cover in comparison is more "straight"; vocal tone is a bit the same throughout the entire song. Not saying this is a bad thing, but while listening to the cover, I find myself mentally injecting some of MMM's power vocals to some parts of the song to give it a bit more of that "umpf". Eh if the number of hearts is the basis of quality then the original version is much better since it had 110k+ hearts lol. Some people preferred what AOA did to the song, they made it more "k-pop" they said but you can't outright say that it outdo the original, a song which was a hit last year and loved by many people.
