Police Commissioner Promises To Investigate YG Entertainment After Learning From Burning Sun

Jun 16, 2019 by U. Kim

On June 17, Commissioner General Min Gap Ryong of the Korean National Police Agency gave a speech at a press conference about the recent drug-related issues surrounding YG Entertainment.

The Commissioner stated, “We will thoroughly investigate the suspicions that were raised by forming an exclusive team that will be headed by the director of the detective division at Gyeonggi Southern Provincial Police Agency. We learned a lesson while investigating Burning Sun. By fully utilizing the knowledge we gained through previous drug cases and other similar cases, we will conduct an exhaustive investigation to resolve all of the suspicions raised by the public.â€

Asked about the possibility of conducting an investigation on Yang Hyun Suk, the Commissioner responded, “We cannot disclose details about the investigation.â€

YG Entertainment is currently being suspected of covering up a drug case surrounding B.I. and an individual referred to as “A†in 2016. “A†was later revealed to be Han Seo Hee, and she claimed that Yang Hyun Suk interfered in the case by threatening her to change her testimony and making deals with the police. Yang Hyun Suk then issued an official statement and stepped down from his position at YG.

I guess that means that they learned they couldn't get away with half-assed investigations like they've been doing all this while, eh? imstupid.png
