ArticleSupportive post defending Yoon Seobin after his controversy "Here is the truth about Yoon Seobin's school violence"

Source: Segye Ilbo via Nate

1. [+2,242, -175] The fact that he was already drinking and smoking as a minor disqualifies him from becoming an idol

2. [+2,013, -110] You missed the bus, no more shields and excuses

3. [+1,869, -72] I don't expect the teachers to fully know what happens in their school and that Katalk conversation can't be considered as fact

4. [+146, -7] Just because the school committee never held a trial doesn't mean that he never hit kids. Have you guys never been to an actual school?

5. [+126, -7] How is a teacher supposed to know about the bullying? The victim could easily just keep it to themselves without being able to tell anyone else. How is a teacher supposed to know that?

6. [+106, -3] I've been a victim of school violence, and let me tell you, teachers know nothing... They're all busy about keeping it hush hush to make sure the school's image doesn't get impacted.

7. [+83, -5] So what if there's one person defending him? The fact that there's already one victim out there means he's done.

8. [+79, -5] How do you expect a teacher to know anything??????????? Either way, he's an iljin who drank and smoked. No shields.

9. [+64, -2] You really expect teachers to know anything about school violence? ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ Even if they did, they'd rather act like they didn't know to protect their school.

10. [+60, -2] I understand being curious about smoking and drinking and trying it once but most people don't take pictures like that if they're just doing it out of curiosity ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ Let a thug like this become an idol and he's going to end up like Seungri.

11. [+50, -13] Male idols are so lucky. They have their fans acting as lawyers for them and defending them for free. If he was a female idol, he would've been exiled already.

12. [+49, -0] Well, does that teacher know that he also smoke and drank alcohol? If teachers knew anything at all about their students, there wouldn't be school violence like there is now ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ What kind of psycho would actually act like an iljin in front of the teachers? This excuse is laughable ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

13. [+31, -0] The teacher's testimony is pointless because the majority of bullying cases do not happen in front of a teacher. And yeah, there are plenty of idols who drank and smoked in the past. He was only cut because he was under JYP.

Schools and teachers are known to shield bullies.

No school wants to be known as "a school where bullying happens" and a teacher could lose his current job and hurt his chances to get another job if he admits that bullying happened in a school he teached in.

Lol, that's true.

I was bullied too and teachers did nothing until I told them how some classmates acts towards me.

And yeah, a lot of bullies doesn't listen. My classmate was bullied too and even teacher saw/heard that but even after talking to bullies they didn't stop

It’s true that teachers usually don’t know or turn a blind eye towards bullying but haven’t several classmates (even the one that wrote “I don’t want to live anymore) defended him too and said it was all blown up of proportion? I’m so confused with this case. We’ll never know the real truth tbh.

I saw a clarification post on pann-choa and some of his former classmates have also came out and defended him. There's always that chance of his fans cosplaying as his former classmates though. None of us was there when it happened so we'll never know the truth but I believe it's best to remain neutral on this for now as the evidence against him contradicts the evidence for him not being a bully

He still made a big oopsie by smoking and drinking when he was underage though

Alot of teachers just hush even if they know bullying happens and they act like it never happened to protect the school's image especially if the bully's parents are influential and rich.
