1. [+208, -326] There's also this group who has no hit song ã…‹ã…‹

(The hosts are talking about BTS) "In fact, I don't know any of their songs! How can there be a hallyu star who's unknown in Korea like this?"

2. [+171, -249] EXO only has Growl so they're also a one-hit wonder

3. [+131, -3] Crayon Pop

4. [+95, -3] It was only about IU... The song would've been popular with any male artist.

5. [+59, -0] What's with the top comments?

6. [+50, -1] It reminds me of U-Kiss... Manmanhani~

8. [+37, -57] BTS is Korean so how come only Koreans don't know their songs?

9. [+37, -2] IU saved the song.

10. [+36, -32] Makes me laugh when people say BTS doesn't have a hit song ã…‹ã…‹ I know you don't listen to BTS songs because you don't like BTS. Just because you don't listen to them, it doesn't mean that others don't, either ã…‹ã…‹ You're not the center of the universe.

11. [+27, -0] It was basically IU's song...

12. [+23, -26] EXO left one song in the music industry but that group didn't leave any song ã… ã…

Edit: Sometimes I can't help but think that @Yknock is right and successful K-pop acts should just forget about S.Korea :(

Korean ppl keep saying Kpop has gone global but they only look at domestic success of a song to qualify them as hits. That's just laughable to me.

this is so... as if bts' mega hit song spring day is not still in the charts after how many years? its past 2mil dls too. people stay lying. fire and i need u where also hits from them as well as bst and dna. fake love too while we're at it. and boy with luv is def a hit. bts gets played on tv show and dramas, i've heard multiple accounts of their songs being played a lot in the streets of korea. anyone who tries to say they have no hits in korea is LYING.

A lot of general public are bandwagon fans. For that reason they only listen the toptier groups and never give a chances to other groups.

People are seriously still saying BTS has no hit song in Korea when Spring Day is still charting after 2 freaking years? Also BST, Fire, DNA, Fake Love, Idol are all well known. And BWL is legit the most successful idol song this year so...

These are also the people who call their own faves Hallyu stars and global icons when they barely made a dent on international charts...

The issue is koreans don't know that Spring Day is BTS' song.

There sre tons of reactions from korean dudes who confess it.

And i guess they wouldn't confess it at all if it didn't bring them views and clout thus money from YT. (Sorry but i can't stop being salty ;( )

Sometimes I wonder what tf is considered a hit song then. BWL hit nearly 1M of listeners and still sitting #2 on melon, beating even digimons like Park Hyo Shin and still getting 650k ULs on average. You can't tell me that amount of listeners after A MONTH are only fandom...Also, plenty of their songs have 1-2M of listeners in total on melon/genie too, but sure Korea doesn't listen to their songs.

They sound like antis who keep pulling "sajaegi" and "factory sales" to delegitimise BTS' sales even in 2019 despite Gaon's year-end charts showing the exact opposite and revealing high return rates for any group but BTS every year. They've stuck with this narrative for years and it's the only thing they'll keep running with since they can't disprove any of BTS' other achievements now.

I'm gonna catch shit for this but I agree about BTS not having that conventional type of hit song

it feels like their songs are so successful mainly because of the huge impact of the group itself and not because of the songs blowing up and yeah spring day is THAT digital bitch I know but still it's not that traditional kind of k-pop hit, which I think is a good thing too in a way

But the problem is the korean mentality of you are not big if your people don't recognize you and without your people recognition your overseas success is nothing.

But as korean love USA all who is big in USA is supreme for them. Sometimes I think SK never've been respect BTS success without USA recognition.

Same Son Heungmin or Park Jisung. They are loved internationally by european, southamerican football fans but without SK recognition all their success is in vane.

It's literally ridiculous. That drag was still relevant in 2016 maybe, but right now? They literally have the most successful idol song this year beating digimons and top ggs, and not slowing down any time soon. If that's not a hit song idk what it is.
