With the fugitive Yoo Byung Eun of Chonghaejin Marine Co. still at large, his wife, Kwon Yoon Ja is now also on the wanted list. Investigators have included her in the list for embezzlement and hiding her son, Dae Kyun, who is also on the list.

His wife is the daughter of pastor Kwon Shin Chan, who created the Salvation Sect with Yoo Byung Eun, in which Yoo is now the leader of. Kwon is wanted for pocketing at least 1 billion won from the sister company of Chonghaejin Marine Co.

It seems like the whole family took part in the embezzlement, Kwon’s younger brother, Oh Kyun, was taken in custody for the same charges. Oh Kyun was the chef of Trigon Korea, an affiliate of Chonghaejin Marine Co.

With the lack of arrests, many are saying the investigation team should be replaced and the Justice Ministry should go through a parliamentary investigation. Although prosecutors were unsuccessful with capturing the head of the company, they have arrested Yoo’s older brother, Byung Il and a few of Yoo’s Salvation Sect members for helping him flee during the raid in Geumsuwon. Recently a women by the surname Kim, 73 years old, was taken into custody as a suspect for accomplice.

Right now prosecutors have warrants for each of their arrest, unfortunately they have yet to be found. With a huge investigation team of 80 prosecutors and policemen, it has been about a month since the search began. They are receiving criticism from the public for their failed efforts to arrest those responsible for the sunken ferry. The public even questioned if they really want to capture the fugitives.
