It was just a tool or scale to demonstrate that sexuality isn't necessarily just black and white.That doesn't mean that there aren't a huge amount of purely straight and gay people in the world. Besides just because you sexuality might be a little bit fluid doesn't mean that you would be happy or fulfilled or even willing to sexually engage with someone of the sex that you are not attracted to.
