Internet Drama & Listening Skills

So this morning I found a video in one of the threads about James Charles and finally decided to click on it despite my horrible listening skills.

I was surprised when I could understand like 20% of what lady Tati was saying! She has a pleasant voice and clear diction, which is rare, at least for me. Cos most of the times I've watched reaction videos and they're a little bit hard to decipher (to understand what they're talking).

Then later I found another videos related to that topic. They provided text on the screen and at the same time they were reading them almost word to word.

And you know what? It's the perfect way to improve someone's listening skills :)

Previously I've tried to watch films and series in English with subtitles but it was hard to do cos I would get into a plot and forgot about subtitles, or I would be busy with reading subtitles and missed all story happening on the screen.

But this videos are just blessing! They are boring enough not to get too enthusiastic and at the same time narrators and channel owners' dictions are so clear!

After a few hours and videos I came back to Tati's video and could understand even more than I was initially able to!

I'm so happy :)

Now I hope in a few months I can improve my listening skills significantly, and also will learn tons of things about make up :)

I recommend you these videos if you also want to practice your listening skills.

Ah, I like that channel. Spill explains things very calmly and rationally, she doesn't let emotional bias get in the way. It's definitely an interesting way to learn and improve your listening comprehension skills while also getting entertained by some drama dave.png
