For example you can kiss in public and that's fine in some places but totally unacceptable in others. You can kill your cheating wife and her lover and that's not too bad in some places but it's a serious crime in another. Your society sets out some codes that you're expected to live by in order to be considered a normal functioning member and some of them make sense and others are potentially harmful. Regardless you're taught these things from a young age until it grows to become common knowledge or common sense. Some of the main aspects involves setting boundaries between what is private and and public behaviour or what is moral and immoral and deciding on how severe the consequences should be. Starlight 1,108 Posted June 22, 2014 Share Posted June 22, 2014 Acceptable- Being polite, being helpful, thanking someone if required based on the situation, etc. Unacceptable- Throwing a fit/tantrum in a public place, being disrespectful, not talking when spoken to apparently(I remember these girls at my school saying I thought I was better then them because I barely talked to anyone except for my friends, it made me sad when I heard that), saying bad things about someone as if they aren't there, talking to someone else about a person when that person is there and perfectly capable of answering things themselves, etc. If someone disrespected someone I care about: -If my friend/ family member disrespected the other person first then I wouldn't do anything. -If they were just being disrespectful for no apparent reason then I'd question them on why they'd say those things and try to clear up any misunderstandings if possible. If someone disrespect my girlfriend/family/friend well it depends. If that person is older than me, well.... But If that person is younger than me/my own friend well..
