Like if he actually opens his mouth to speak, it's probably to make a snide comment or complain about something/be negative. It's so infuriating. When I was young I was really cynical myself and I see now where I got it from but it absolutely drives me INSANE. I try joking around it but that ticks him off and makes him angry. I have to walk on eggshells around him but at the same time it's him that's always moaning. I want to have a better relationship with my parents but I honestly don't know how because half the time they're silent (like literally they don't even reply a lot of the time when I try to talk to them lmao) and the other half they're bitching about things and it's just sfdhskhffjgdfj. Every morning for example he reads the newspaper and literally goes through every item just to say something negative about it lmao. As far as I can remember my parents have been super disapproving and judgmental of anything or anyone they deem different in a bad way (and that includes a lot of people).
