Google's conference and official account mentioned BTS
Google's CEO himself mentioned BTS
Their name is now included in Google's autocomplete

They're being mentioned in all 3 public broadcast domestically SBS, KBS and MBC
And now overseas in ABC, BBC, CNN and Google

There's no more need for them to write media play articles
Bighit only spent 4 million won last year on their advertisement
(last row in the picture)

original post: here

1. The biggest win of this generation's SNS

2. 4 million wonã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ Amazing

3. Their advertising fees was only 4 million wonã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹  They don't even need it anymore nowã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹  I can't even count how many ads they're on anymore

4. To be honest, 4 million won is nothing compared to other expenditures of Bighit, you can see they barely even did any promotions to start with

5. Google promoting BTSã…‹ã…‹  daebak

6. BTS is the biggest winner of the SNS generation

7. Not even using advertising, yet getting promotion from Google~!ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

8. Even when they don't do anything, they're getting promoted. I can see the importance of BTS just by watching the morning news

9. I bet they're making more money there than 1 month advertising for shopping mallsã…‹ã…‹

10. Looks like Bighit doesn't spend on advertisementsã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ but good thing BTS is BTS

$4K on advertisement? Wow, that is really low.

Armys do the hard work instead of BH.... and totally free, BTS don't need mediaplay, for sure, but a little bit of help from BH it would be good, Armys have a lot of pressure on their shoulders trying to come up with the best ways to promote the boys, and that is BH work....

Also - Something else to think about...BTS were #1 in the media section for Forbes Korea. That's really impressive. BTS just have to make a comeback and/or break some record/do something good, and the media will do all the work for Bighit and BTS. There will be articles and news coverage without Bighit even having to lift a finger. From Korea and globally. Free exposure and advertisement.

I think people who said that entertainment agencies's goal in korea is actually not trying to make the next BTS, but to gain the next fandom like ARMY is totally right.

They barely need promotion, and their news or content will showed up on media with different target demographic, male, female, old, young. I think it's started in 2016, when BTS being mentioned a lot by a news outlet for their international achievements which totally happened bc ARMY put their hands and brain into that.

Of course Army took big part but another big part is the fact that BTS is just really big now that even any brand that even don't affiliate with them directly are willingly hype and promote them just because they are BTS and they have Armys and also there is BT21 and Vlive, even Mnet doing the promotion for them and they must got a lot in return for that. I guess Bighit took advantage of it very well lol

Yeah today a weird moment happened for me, the founder of Luminosity gaming tweeted about them, saying how nobody on twitter comes close to their engagement. It got me thinking how this fanbase is really key in their exposure and growth. The fans themselves advertise the group by recommending songs and videos, trending hanshtags and words on accident, and liking and retweeting their posts, spreading them on timelines all over twitter. It's wild.

yep, of course when you are big, there are people around you who make you promo, but Armys are the biggest promoters and they always have been, they are the biggest pillar on BTS success, aside BTS themselves, of course...

BH is good in the artistic part, with all this universe, theories and so.... but they can give a big thanks to Army fandom passion for the boys and perseverance, because from my a point of view, their way of promoting is lacking..

it seems a nonsense but simply putting youtube ads of mvs, would have saved many upsets to Armys, it's a way to promote BTS, but also a way to be grateful to Armys who many times wasted their efforts in vain with YT..

Instagram, the same... thanks to big accounts that made promo from MOTS, considering that Instagram is a important source of promo, they dont take care of it often

Facebook, the same...

subs, the same.....everything is lacking

they don't need it anymore for obvious reasons but let's not act like big hit never used noticeable media play

when?

& please don't cite that one 2016 article that said BTS was catching up to EXO sales-wise like y'all been doing for the past 3 years. rolleyes.gif

Because firstly, they were catching up, that's the facts, & exo were never put down to boost BTS up either.
