Avatar 2 will flop, if they really think people went into that movie for the ''great'' storyline they will gonna get hit by reality.

The only reason why it hit daebak was because it was the first 3D movie ever playing at the cinemas and everyone wanted to have a taste of that new technology of visual effects.

 

Also it took too long to now make it a franchise, the hype around that movie died down.

It actually has a trailer and was meant to be released August 2019, but it's now being delayed to May 2020. Which would usually be worrying, except now it's new release date is in a big blockbuster slot. I'm assuming Disney is reworking a lot of the film, but whatever they're reworking they must have a lot of confidence in to give it a summer blockbuster date.

I can't speak much for it's prospects, but it's already ranking the most anticipated Hollywood release in China across social media. Which is big deal because the first Avatar blew open doors for Hollywood films at the worlds second largest film industry.

These savages are now even remaking West Side Story? Is there a single person left at Disney with an original idea?

It's a Fox release and was already in development before the acquisition. Honestly I think it will swallowed up by Cruella.

2020 is looking a bit weaker than Disney's other slates, so that would be a good opportunity for another studio to swipe the box office. Or at least it should be, because if Warner Bro's or Universal can't beat Disney at their weakest then idk what's left for them.

I'm kind of bummed that Artemis Fowl got moved to next year...

 

Man, I legit forgot Avatar existed until people started saying that End Game is going to beat its record. I have 0% interest for the sequels.
