Police to request arrest warrants for Seungri and Yoo In Seok tomorrow

Police will be requesting arrest warrants for Seungri and Yoo In Suk tomorrow.

On May 7, MBN's 'News 8' reported police will be requesting arrest warrants for Seungri and Yoo In Suk after 17 rounds of questioning for procuring prostitution, embezzlement of funds through the club Burning Sun, breaking restaurant tax laws for the club Monkey Museum, and other charges.

According to reports, police plan to release the results of their investigation after filing Seungri and Yoo In Suk's arrest warrants. Stay tuned for updates.

1. [+1,951, -11] That was sure fast

2. [+1,104, -9] How are they harder to arrest than the president?

3. [+759, -8] The police haven't been able to catch anyone higher up and are busy dragging Seungri and his clowns. Seems like there are more than a few police who were bribed.

4. [+381, -8] This is all just going to end in a blur with them getting off with probation ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ that's the reality of our country

5. [+213, -9] Seungri-ya, you sure stayed out for as long as you could~ now let's get you in jail

6. [+113, -3] Seungri's life was supposed to amount to nothing more than being a waiter in some podunk town but he lucked out by getting into Big Bang and earning fame and money and now he's back at rock bottom where he belongs. There's the saying that everyone has clothes that fit them the best and this is his.

7. [+53, -0] Getting goosebumps with how fast the police are moving with this case

8. [+47, -2] I doubt they're actually going to get him in jail. There are way too many people at stake if Seungri goes to jail. They're just going to continue spinning the media in other directions. I bet you there are a ton of higher officials and chaebol children as well as police all involved in this.

9. [+39, -2] These ba$tards show how truly rotten our society is. They basically did every bad deed in the book. Imagine how laughable they thought we are... Go hard with the punishment and show them the discipline of this country!

10. [+36, -1] I guess they're done cutting out all the people that they can from this mess if it's time for him to go to jail

Is it a normal thing to announce when the police will be requesting a warrant or is this just the Korean police? Or is this just specific to this case since it has so much public attention? The idea of telling everyone that they're going to request a warrant baffles me but considering their justice system...

How many times have the police announced their intention for warrant request already?. I felt like a dejavu everytime i read news about this POS. Were previous arrest warrant got rejected by prosecutor or they just love repeating scripts

I know, lol. But from my understanding this is pretty much the end of the investigation. If they don’t secure an AW, that’s it. All over red rover.

Even with arrest warrant & "extensive investigation" I won't hold my breath expecting he'll be properly prosecuted & later convicted. At most he'll probably get a slap on the wrist just like the unnamed actor who got the suspended 6mth for literally being a pimp heh

Knowing that a higher authority has to approve the arrest warrant, i guess there wasn't enough or solid evidence handed out to the police or found by the police to incriminate him enough for a court (or judge) to give a go for an arrest, but now they might have one and are confident that it will get a go.

From there a trial will tell if he will go to jail, got to pay a fine, get a probation or nothing.

But i'm tired of this repetitive news, they better just report something thats a real update of this case.

Not that I'm aware of. Maybe someone can shed light how it's done in Korea.

well hope they have the evidence necessary because if they don't the prosecution can deny the warrant and back to square one all over again. Basically if the judge says you ain't got shit you aint got shit. So letd hope they got shit this time.

They better do, they probably already requested it multiple times but everytime it got rejected, cause the media was talking about an arrest warrant a month or half ago. So they really better have something otherwise if it gets rejected (again) people might think that they are doing it on purpose as they don't really know how the system really works. It's a complex case as Seungri isn't the only one involved but sooo many other people as well, they really need to investigate how much he is involved and what role he played in specific situations in order to create a file with clear details about the charges they wanna put on him for the trial.
