Daria~ 13,886
This was obviously going to happen. What started as a simple case of drugs and prostitution blew up ridiculously to the point of revealing crimes more than a decade old. There’s no police force that could sort out all that mess and punish everyone involved. And the longer the case goes on, the more evidence disappears. They’re going to make some superficial arrests (most likely idols like yoochun), throw around a couple of fines and bury the rest.
swiftswitchsurf 12,276
Why do people keep tying these cases together when they're not related? I mean they're the same general crimes, but other than that they've no notable overlap. This is a Jang Jayeon case update, not a Burning Sun case update. Roses of July 76
Why do people keep tying these cases together when they're not related? I mean they're the same general crimes, but other than that they've no notable overlap. This is a Jang Jayeon case update, not a Burning Sun case update. I'm guessing some of the higher ups involved may be related to both cases? That's the only correlation I can see.
swiftswitchsurf 12,276
why do you feel it's not burning sun too? Cause the thing is about Hwang Hana's list? Which we've known about for well over a decade. The only connection these two cases have is that they came out around the same time(Not really seeing as jang Jayeon's case was reopened 3 months before Burning Sun scandal broke, but nobody cared). Like the Jang Jayeon case has just been tied to the Burning Sun case purely on the basis that folks don't want it forgotten and the latter case is more scandalously news worthy. swiftswitchsurf 12,276
I'm guessing some of the higher ups involved may be related to both cases? That's the only correlation I can see. But that's not what got these cases tied together. Like there was no seeable connection between the two when they were attached to the hip. Could there be overlap? Maybe. But the actual evidence for both doesn't suggest it. For instance, nobody is giving as much time to the Hak Gui case, which is connected to Burning Sun, both because it's one guy and because it's so open and shut. Timur Sharapov 2,056
I've read that Park Geun Hye's impeachment was possible cos people behind her allowed this to happen sacrificying her to save themselves. And as we already know nowadays Presidents are just puppets of power holders behind them. So i guess even if Koreans will make another nationwide demonstration all they can get is 1 or 2 some officials to be jailed. That's all. Justice will never take a place. Forgive me for being pessimist.

Forgive me for being pessimist. For me Park Geunhye was the chaebols's sacrifice and she was more easier to destroy because she was the first woman president of a mysogynist country. Women politicians always are more easier to destroy than a man politician because media, antis, opositors, jealous women and mysogynst men not accept a woman in the high power. And they judge with more hard criteria the women errors. Example between a male politician making corruption and the woman politician making corruption people will be destroy more faster a woman politician. In 2016 because PGH was a corrupted woman president people get out to the street to impeach her. But now the men politician men from South Korea are a mess and nobody get out to the street to impeach them.

Park Geunhye was such a big scandal not because presidents haven't been corrupt/impeached, but because her type of corruption was so batshit insane. Yo Han 194
Corruption always runs deep. Every nation's powerful people has hidden agendas, be it for the good of humanity or for it's peril. Those who try to seek justice for these crimes would just find it to be moot and not worth their lives.

CrimemasterGogo 2,109
Corruption what do you expect. People continue to feed the likes of YG so it's never gonna change. Not until someone like YG gets taken down. The powerful think they can do whatever they want. It's disgusting. But the world is unfortunately like this. Vigilante justice is important when the laws are not followed.

DiSsOrGaNiZeDsUsHi 353
The print should read "cases", not "case". When the Burning Sun case came to light I was told that the case would eventually die down and in time people will move on to other "scandals". The same goes for the Jang Ja Yeon's case. They also said that multiple scandals will become one huge scandal. They say it's because many people there (in Korea) love conspiracies. They felt for the victims but doubt the (full) truths will come out. Being that these people are from Korea they've seen it many times before. That sucks for the victims if these cases go down like that. We'll see.
