UMJI MOODS 11,514
Sure. I like orchestral arrangements of Kpop songs. You can find many on YouTube.
denizen mars 5,911
what's confusing? orchestras do popular music arrangements sometimes. more commonly movie and video game soundtracks though, I think sounds like an interesting event to me ~shrug~ sort of out of my price range at $75 (last classical concert I went to was about that, but my mother paid and not me and I considered it highway robbery), and I don't live in NYC so... I think it was more the fact that they sent this to the Young Patrons. They're not exactly the type to be into things like this.

I'm not super familiar with this program because the cities I've lived in didn't have it, but "culturally-minded New Yorkers in their 20s" would certainly be more likely to be interested in popular music than like, the 50+ upper middle class crowd, who is usually who I saw at the symphony. So...I mean....they wouldn't advertise it to them probably LOL you're always salty about anything nice involving kpop happening though...we all know its because your faves aren't getting any western validation lately

My friend is a member and he said that he doesn't see anyone in that group liking KPop. That is my point. And Western validation? I don't care about that. Why would I when I look down on what is currently mainstream? It's a race to the bottom. My faves don't make music of that sort. For years I've been talking about how Japan shuns current Western trends, so... KPop gets Western validation because it mirrors the West.
