Not really. Probably because I'm same race as 70% of my country.

Sadly, yes. I was in college. I walked into my African Studies speech and debate classroom and the "N" word (with a hard r) was written all over the board, followed by comments like "Go back to Africa" and other crazy things. Another time, someone thought it was a good idea to throw a "black" party... where basically a white fraternity decided that they were going to all dress up in black stereotypes. They served chicken and watermelon, painted their faces black, pretended to be "gangsters" and "hoes" and "baby mamas"... it was shameful.

yes to both but minorities usually aren't screaming slurs in my face to give them credit imstupid.png

When I'm abroad I'm usually in very touristy places & locals are very nice to tourists, cause y'know cause who is gonna attack potential customers. imstupid.png

If you spend enough time in a place where most people look different than you, or if you speak a different language, you will experience it to some degree. So yeah I've had it happen to me, but not even close to what others have been thru so I won't sit here and complain about it.

Yeah. I had someone pull at the sides of their eyes and say ching chong. An elementary school teacher who pulled my arm next to a white student's and said my skin was "yellower". A girl tell me I was a "flat-face" and my nose was squished in. A college frat boy who look down at me and say "ni hao" while cackling and his friends going wtf that's not cool man.

To some extent, yes, I experienced what could be considered microagressions during my time in Japan. Lots of stares, subtle assumptions I was a french or russian prostitute, and assumptions that I couldn't speak Japanese even as I spoke Japanese to them.

The last one could be amusing as they would see my face and assume I was speaking English even as I spoke Japanese to them.

Yes. This kid and I were just talking about ppl in our school and he said something about not liking lesbian kissing (just lesbian in general) or something and then I asked, "you don't like /insert popular girl name at my school/?" I forgot exactly what he said but he called me a chink. I was so embarrassed when some ppl laughed. even my crush laughed at the time.

Yes at various times in my life either directly or indirectly. One recent incident, I was out for a quiet drink with my friends and we somehow stumbled into a fancy dress party where we were greeted by a couple of women a full blackface. They got so excited when they saw us and said something along the lines of "wow your hair is so amazing we definitely didn't get it right, we should have got our hair like that".

When I was ten years old at an annual fair, some teens (16-17years old) thought it was fun to throw food at me since apparently poor hungry little chi**ks don't have enouth food to eat

i'm of mixed race (asian mother / caucasian father) but until that moment I never had experienced any racism at all, so I was too shocked to do anything but walk away

sadly my dad wasn't there yet, he would have told them off

There were some other incidents, but never anything too bad, just the usual "ching chong"

Yep. I'm Asian-American, and I live in the US. In elementary school, I specifically remember a kid coming up to me and slanting his eyes and saying "Got Rice?"  and then laughing after.  In college,  I was with my friends at a restaurant that was right across campus so we walked there.  When we were waiting to cross the street to get back to campus, a car that drove by yelled "stupid chinks!!" while giving us the middle finger out his window.  Also, I attended an Asian-American student campus organization event as a new student.  The event was basically a bbq outside the freshmen dorms.  Our organization was called "Asian American Student Association" or AASA for short.  A group of white frat guys saw the AASA sign, and they yelled "AASA more like ASIAN AMERICANS SUCK ASS!!!" and then laughing and walking away.  So yes, I've experienced racism.  There have been more instances than these, but these were the ones that prob hurt me the most and stuck with me.  I mean, I also get the ignorant ass comments from white people like "your English is so good!!!" even though I'm born and raised in the states.  Those don't anger me as much bc I understand those generally aren't said with malicious intent, just out of ignorance.

As a kid no (though in school everyone used racist jokes and disses against each other lol) and as an adult not really but I did have some as a late teen in college and university.
