Apparently this actor was used for the Jo Bros' performance too. It's so weird. The actual ARMYs there were doing fan chants and filming BTS on their phones but I guess that's not "Beatlemania" enough for the show. Refer to BTS' appearance on Ellen's show too. They got older, adult ARMYs lining up outside the studio to see them since the break of dawn but the young 'uns, the girls that literally looked like pre-teens and middle schoolers were the ones chosen by Ellen's staff to represent the fandom on her show despite some of them showing up in the queue later. Then they had the nerve to look annoyed when these tweens were screaming their heads off on TV. shooter 1,172 Posted May 3, 2019 Share Posted May 3, 2019 i personally don't have a problem with this kind of job (i'm sure it has a purpose) but the fact that they had her overreact like that was so unnecessary. they could've at least told her to smile, dance around a little or, y'know, act the way armys were really acting. she was doing way too much and that's what i have a problem with here, stupid media just wants these stereotypical reactions to say "oh haha look at those crazy fangirls!!! just fangirl tingz". It's a difference between being paid to act like BTS fans and being paid to be part of a live show audience. I doubt they were paid "to pretend being Armys". Many shows have paid audience members. I get that. I think some are exaggerating suggesting BBMAS hired actors to pretend being Armys. Maybe they hired people to hype the show, that's all. The people acted according to the producer's instructions - they were encouraged to laugh and clap loudly as humanly possible, like they are in most shows, including Ellen's.
