Nanalisa 4
I’m really about to cry cuz I was hoping that I can get the same shifts as the guy that I liked at my job. But today, I came at work and I see my name not on the schedule and I just started working at the wendys I work at for about 3 weeks and I didn’t see my name on the schedule at all for the whole week. That means I got fired.
Seunghee's eyebrows 32,640
Not necessarily. They need to have a reason to let you go tho. Have you asked your manager about it?

DiSsOrGaNiZeDsUsHi 353
Private companies can let an employee go without a reason. What they cannot do is let you go for discriminatory reasons.
SeriousRonin 54
If that really means you got fired, then your workplace did a shitty job of telling you that. If not, then I'd be relieved.

DiSsOrGaNiZeDsUsHi 353
so for instance, if I wasn’t on schedule for the whole week it means I’m fired? I have absolutely no clue. I suggest that you ask your manager/boss.
classiq 2,225
If you been there for 3 weeks, I guess they can fire you at anytime since you're still under probation It's weird that they wouldn't at least say anything to you. Maybe you're just not working the next week?
ducklicker 254
if no one has told you not to come into work or that you're fired i wouldn't assume you where...? i've never been fired before but every employee i know who has been was told so. if you work really did ghost you as a firing method then idk what shit your managers on lmao that's wild. unless you just found out before they contacted you that really is unprofessional. Hoshisus 397
they don’t need to tell you before they fire you, but it’s basic human decency definitely check in with your boss though!

CrayCray 2,636
Thats what my ex boss used to do. He'd slowly kill off the scehdule of the workers/employees he doesnt like or thinks are too lazy to one day a week until they get tired of it and leave. DiSsOrGaNiZeDsUsHi 353
But discussing on OH won't give you the answers. To an employer, if the employee doesn't care then they won't care. Even if there is a chance that you were let go, I'd still inquire about my next working schedule. Sometimes if the employer is on the fence, that one thing of showing interest can make all the difference. By asking the question they'll know that you're serious about wanting to work. Grape Soda 12,004
It might mean they just didn't schedule you, which is a sign that youre doing a poor job. I feel like a wendys would tell you if you were fired or not
