Do we have proper any true xianxia drama? i dont think so right... the closest are ten miles of peach blossom or ashes of love but they arent what im talking about. What i want is something like novels I shall seal the heaven or a will eternal. There are Martial universe and Fight break sphere but those are wuxia. I know it will be hella expensive for a proper xianxia drama but it's not impossible if they make it in several seasons. They are long if they're based on novel and follow everything in it but if the west can make drama like GoT why cant China make a proper xianxia drama. Do you think we will get proper xianxia drama? It might be the same case as the movie The Wandering Earth where the movie basically created their own story around maybe 2 pages of the book, because they said that there was no way they could adapt or have movie watchers even be interested in watching the movie if it was purely based on the contents of the books. A book more philosophical in nature may be good for a reader to tap into their imagination, but with a movie or drama, it's has to be more about personal relationships and such. James Cameron said the same of developing such sci-fi books into movies, a lot of changes must be made in order to please a movie fan that's different from pleasing a book fan. I'm talking about Guardian and the upcoming MDZS drama probably will get the bromance treatment. I want better CGI in chinese dramas lmao......some settings are so beautiful but then you see these ugly ass fake CGI monsters and it's like..... You don't need to read the novels, you can see what you are missing in details from Baidu search. One thing, they like to push new faces for it. It basically a drama where you can make you own choices. (Mostly, since a lot of them leads to a quick death) I have just finish all four major endings, and I enjoyed all of them.
