The biggest change is the darker melody during the verses. Twice melodies are usually bright and cheerful so for them to go that dark is a pretty big deal, even if they brighten things up again during the pre-chorus. If they really want a change they should do it like SNSD maybe, just like 'Oh' and 'Run Devil Run' era or 'Lion Heart' and 'You Think'. The group who can pulled out two different concept perfectly. Here I was expecting their Gee -> Genie transformation but oh well, the song is a bop tho.
