The bodyguard was a woman. She was holding my waist as soon as I reached the 2nd member, and was going to get my signature from Jimin and pushed me. You can't even talk with the members for a lot of time, so I was trying to hold it in, but she kept pushing me the whole time.
I made it clear that I didn't want her to push me in front of Jimin, but she kept doing it, but Jimin kept the conversation even though she was pushing me. The members also kept looking at the bodyguard, so they couldn't concentrate on following our conversation. She kept pushing me the whole time, grabbing me by my waist, I even told her to stop, but she did it until the last member, Yoongi, she didn't stop once.

It's not like I spent more time talking to the members than the other fans, and it's not like I was trying to stay with the members even when we were done talking. There was no need for her to cut in the middle of our conversations, and the skinship was just so uncomfortable. It's not like I can easily go to their fansign so this is just too upsetting.
I'm preparing to tweet about it, so I thank the Army for sharing about this. I hope that Bighit fix their mistakes ASAP.

1. The person who grabbed her was a woman
2. We're not sure yet if it's a staff or bodyguard
3. The fan herself said it was uncomfortable

The I-fans are currently calling this disgusting and uncomfortable

In April 24th 2018, during an overseas concert, there as a fan who claimed she got sexually harassed by a staff and it became really controversial. Bighit said that they would take strong measures to educate their staff

original post: here

1. She must've had the biggest reality check

2. People always think that those types of controversies are trivial, but we need to do something about it and stop overlooking them

3. But to be honest even if it was a woman, to grab someone by their waist like that is just disgusting

4. Ew why are Bighit's staff like that seriously, there are always so much talks circulating about their bodyguards, this is getting annoying

5. You can't touch someone like that even though you're a woman... She paid to attend those events, treat her accordingly

6. If you guys can't understand, how would you feel being touched like that?

7. Wow it's not like you can attend BTS fansign by only purchasing one or two albums, you need to buy so many of them, this kind of treatment is too much

8. Do they have to treat people like that in fanmeetings? Aren't people supposed to go there and come out happy?

9. Even if she was a woman, it's still considered sexual harassment since it comes from the back, you can't tell if it's a guy or a girl

10. If she didn't give the permission to get touched, it's considered sexual harassment, don't you know that? In what generation do we live in?

I'd get it if they were holding up the queue but to be pushing them the entire time is just rude & ignorant.

Hope Bighit reprimands the bodyguard for going overboard

Doubt they work for bighit

I heard one of those girls was on a ban list by BigHit

at a TXT fansign i went to, a male staff member was doing the same thing to all of us, pushing us forward by lighting touching our waists. idk I didn't think much of it, like I get the desire for personal space and it's not an ideal situation, but it wasn't assault or anything obviously lmao. feel like the same thing applies to OP's situation

Damn touching someones waist even as a woman just like that ain't ok and can make someone fell uncomfortable really fast. Also the way they are standing behind these women is too much, it looks weird alone looking at these pictures, give them some space.... they paid to meet their faves give them some private space for some seconds lol.

This has nothing to do with security, this comes close to harassment. BigHit should give out an apology to these fans.

Lol twitter stans thought it was a male staff...

Having female security is progressive.

Anyways why do i feel like this might be pann making a issue out of nothing idk. Once again people using screenshots to judge a situation.

The fans are suppose to keep the line moving.  They have a limit time with each member. Usually staff ask them nicely to move. Security usually resort to physical contact when necessary. To me looks like the female security was trying to be nice, compare to some male staff who just roughly push fans...

Tbh this seems very one sided.

My main issue isn't the physical contact, but the fact that at one point she is completely standing very close behind the first two women.

And she literally has both her hands around the waist of one of the woman. Those two things seem inappropriate to me.

I guess, it depends on the person.

For me, I don't really see it as inappropriate. If I'm in the wrong here...Rather than pushing me, she's kindly tying to move me. I personally don't have a problem with another female doing this. It's just my waist meh

I don't think this is going to blow up much in Korea. Initially it was blowing up because everyone thought it was a male staff, even ifans.

Well, as someone who has been grabbed on the waist by a stranger before, I will say that it did make me feel uncomfortable.

It doesn't really seem like she's pushing to me either. But the proximity and the way her hand is across the woman's waist, I just know I'd be uncomfortable in that situation. Though also depends on how long her hand stayed there.

I'm honestly torn here. I understand people being uncomfortable with being touched this way, but as someone who worked as staff for this kind of event it seems like she was just trying to keep them moving by pushing them in a 'gentle' way.

At the beginning of the video there was nobody in front of JK, which mean the fan that was with Hobi might have taken too long.

A hand on the shoulder might have been enough though, her posture is definitely weird.

Also let me give a major side-eye to that reference to the April 2018 situation. We all know fansites lied their asses off about that because they were angry they got caught disrespecting the rules ...

I mean, yea in general I wouldn't want a stranger to touch me. I'm not that free lol

However again the fan is in the wrong here. The female security job is to move the fans, and she was trying to be nice and her intentions were not bad, imo. Nonetheless - I guess, the female security can be advised to touch only shoulders and arms instead.

wow I didn't know female bodyguards/security wore that kind of outfit, it really looked like a male bodyguard from behind. being a women doesn't excuse the inappropriate gesture tho

edit. if anyone could provide a proof that this girl is one of the blacklisted fansite, I'm tired of people making shit up to excuse their hatred for fansites
