17 Women Booked For Prostitution In Relation To Suspicions Of Seungri’s Mediation With Japanese Businessmen

Apr 24, 2019 by L. Kim

The police have booked 17 women for prostitution charges that may be linked to Seungri.

Seungri has been suspected of mediating prostitution services in instances including for a foreign investor at Club Arena in 2015, for Japanese investors at a Christmas party in 2015, and at his birthday party in Palawan in 2017.

On April 25, an official at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency said, “We investigated and booked 17 women involved in prostitution. Most of them have admitted to the prostitution charges. Of the 17 women who were booked, some were brought in on charges of prostitution and some were for prostitution mediation.â€

All the women booked so far are said to be involved in allegations that Seungri mediated sexual favors for Japanese investors.

In an exclusive report from Chosun.com, it was revealed that Yoo In Suk — the former CEO of Yuri Holdings and Seungri’s business partner — admitted to police that prostitutes were called for a Japanese investor (in December 2015) and that there was a payment made for sexual services.

The police are said to have questioned 12 officials, including two from an agency that organized the Palawan birthday party and related events, and questioned 27 others regarding the Japanese investors’ visit to Korea. Yoo In Suk and Seungri were called four times each for the alleged prostitution ring.

Meanwhile, it has also been reported the trips taken by Jung Joon Young, Choi Jong Hoon, Seungri, and more may have led to criminal activity.

It's no wonder a lot of the women won't speak up when they have no protection and are likely instead to end up with bigger charges. The problem with prostitution being illegal is that the more powerful people can get away whilst the ones likely most vulnerable end up being the ones punished.

This is exactly what I said before when people kept talking about the prostitutes being trafficked, because more often than not victims would not be fucking arrested for it. But yes this is the problem of it being illegal as they get no legal protection which allows anyone to abuse their rights, you can not pay them etc and they'd have no recourse to solve a dispute because they'd get jailed too

So the prostitutes are arrested but Seungrease ass is still sitting comfortably on his sofa at home watching Netflix and eating hotwings?

They should just make prostituation legal so that these women get more protection rights. Because this is ridiculous. Prostituation is the oldest buisness on this planet and it will NEVER stop existing.

Cause as long as it's illegal ,these women get treated like shit sometimes, because their offenders know that  what these woman are doing can get them arrested as well so they got something to threat them.

Also arresting them won't encourage others sto step forward as a witness lol.

How’re you supposed to get the big fish if you scare all of your witnesses out of talking...

I get that prostitution is a crime, but shouldn’t some kind of deal be made to catch the REALLYYYYY bad people?

Agreed, high end escorts consent to this but the worse shit is nonconsentual.

Wait, so the women being booked were the prostitutes?  If that is true then they are the victims and should not face charges.  Tis is similar to when rape victims got punished like in the Qatif rape case where the victim got 200 lashes for "riding a car with a non-related male" https://www.theguardian.com/world/2007/nov/17/saudiarabia.international

The fear of being charged to a crime discourages people to come forth but I have a feeling in this case the prostitutes is not who the authorities want. They do want the bigger fish and charges can always be dropped. By putting pressure on them, it is likely but not always, someone will bound to talk.

I’m so peeved I can’t form sentences right now. I wonder if Seungri thinks he’s protecting them from jail from denying that he hired them precisely for sex cause in the twisted world we live in he just might.

I don't know. The way he thinks of women I doubt that he's worrying about their interests. Even if he continues to deny, which he has no reason at this point to stop denying, these women could still go to jail for prostitution or mediating prostitution. I don't think he'll care at all.

he's such a sly pig, he doesn't care about them.

his lawyers told him to deny it all and he probably knows people who promise to help him if he shuts his mouth

A while back it was alleged that Seungri told the participants in the chatroom(s) to change and delete chatroom(s) every so often (was it every 2 months or so)? If the reason were to cover their tracks as a just in case, they must have discussed an escape plan too. Like you say this and I'll say that sort of thing. Or did they not think that far ahead? Or maybe I'm giving them too much credit to have such expectations. Whatever it is, I think their egos was and will be their downfall.
