Jimin is naturally sociable but it wasn't till recent years that we as a fandom started learning more about his celeb friends since he was so secretive. Tae is more known as the 'sociable butterfly' before (and Namjoon) - something like what you're saying about befriending idols. Jimin is popular with celebs due to the "Jimin effect" given in the defintion. Celebs are usually drawn to him. His fan, not necessarily friends.
