Do mods not realize that we post threads in the random section to get them posted in most recent to get more people to SEE them.

Nobody is going to respond to a thread which the last post was June 2016 what the fuck

Edit: ok the last response in that thread turned out to be like April 11th but most those threads which supposedly “already exist†got actual DUST on them

Since I know what thread this is about... Let's say you are looking for a book to read, so you could go into the current what book are you reading thread. It's all contained within one thread with multiple pages of users mentioning books they are reading and likely with their thoughts. Or you could need to find multiple threads (with no search system) with 1 - 2 replies to try to find suggestions. In which case, you are probably better off with Google.

While maybe it seems silly to do (I personally like having one place to look for possible suggestions myself though), we have always merged or closed duplicate threads of that nature. Unless the old thread is archived, in this case it wasn't as it was last posted in less than 2 weeks ago. So it was active fairly recently. Still if you feel this is something we should change please drop us a note in Feedback & Suggestions.

Edit: As an added note, the thread is pinned within the only sub-forum that is dedicated only to books. Which is why I wouldn't have considered it a random thread.
