Unless your faves are Gfriend You have NO RIGHT to complain about appropriation in terms of Kpop

Yall are picking and choosing when to be offended and its annoying as hell.  The reason most of yall even got into Kpop is because you were drawn to Korean people making black music and dancing like black boy bands from the 90s.  Why is it ok for them to appropriate your sound and dance moves but not your hairstyles?  I'm sorry but unless you only stan pure kpop groups who don't have a hint of western influence, you are a hypocrite.

wasn't Gfriend situation clearly not their fault? Yeah, they twisted their hair but the situation was more on the host making such a comment to be used as a comedic moment + that's not how dread are done anyway

edit: also it was the only time in their whole career that barely counted so stan unproblematic queens, gfriend

I'm sorry but my faves are IU and BoA and I don't recall them ever appropriating black music. Like I got into kpop because of BoA and at the time I became a fan of her, she was being marketed as a Jpop singer. My other faves are Lovelyz and Day6 and uh, their music don't sound like black music either?

(also another reason I got into kpop was because overall, it reminded not of 90s black boy bands, but because it reminded me of the days of N Sync, Backstreet Boys, and 90s-era Britney Spears, and none of them were black).

I'm sorry, but since when has IU, BoA, Lovelyz, Dreamcatcher, or Infinite ever appropriated black culture?

And why do you limit appropriation to only black culture? Plenty of Kpop idols have appropriated indigenous cultures such as Native American culture, Indian and other South Asian cultures, etc. Are you seriously saying people can't complain when Kpop groups/idols appropriate non-black cultures?
