RM's words when asked about the weight of the crown.

Recommended Posts

"When you are growing taller, the shadow is becoming longer.

We are not always happy without burden or feeling empty."

"One day I was afraid of the lighting, even I was afraid of the audiences..

Since the lighting was too bright I couldn’t see but people could see all my facial expressions and my actions.."

"It made me feel to desire to escape from it.

However, there are more things to achieve in there and the energy from the fans are much bigger."

"I don’t think I can overcome that fear but I have to embrace it and live together in my life.

The thought which I think fans are more precious makes balance controlling the burdens and responsibilities."

With the wings of icarus you gave me

Not toward the sun but toward you
Let me fly

You know public figures when in front of people, big or small, face anxiety all the time. It must be so mentally taxing to always try and present your best face in front of watching eyes.

I know this is out of topic, but I keep getting reminded of Avicii and how before performing for crowds he would always get drunk to numb out the anxiety.

I saw a video of his hand shaking during the snow performance and the U.N. speech. Yet he is always so composed. I dunno how he does it. He always looks confident and it makes me realize how human he and BTS are. At the end of the day they are still 7 men threading through uncharted waters.

omg that lighting thing

I suddenly remember how once i had to perform and when i went on stage i couldn't see faces of audience, just blackness

It felt awkward and kinda stupid and I got lost a little bit

how scary it must be to perform in front of  large audiences like this

I was sure that he would give the best answer. And he did.

What is more frightening than lightning and staying before the crowd?!

Baring your heart in your lyrics and music, and getting no understanding from the audience.

He's the bravest man, and we respect them brave men.

I’m not in any ways a public figure but I deal with small number of audiences in daily basis. I related with that part how you can’t see each of your audience but they can see all your every actions to every details. That is nerve wrecking. I can’t imagine how they dealt with that on larger scale

all of this! I really appreciate how honest he is about it all though, even if it hurts my heart a little bit, i'll never take it for granted.

One of his best sentences.

He should write a book one day.
