Any Asian (preferably Hong Kong-ers) know about this scandal?

My parents been talking about this all morning. I know them two (not well) but apparently

it's quite big in Hong Kong at the moment.

 

The dude is a fairly famous singer and married and apparently has a good image while

the girl was in a relationship.

Well, I'm not surprised. He dated his wife-> broke up-> back together -> broke up  again in 2004-> dated a model -> in 2010 his wife ever told the media, they will never back together but not long after they were back together -> secretly married. I won't be surprised during his dating life with his wife. he ever have another girl.

 

I think the girl also at fault too. She has a bf actor too, who i won't say her bf is not famous, may not be as famous as Andy Hui. She is also at fault too. She didn't make a apology to her rumor her fiance.

 

I pity both Sammi and Kenneth Ma (the girl's bf).

 

Also never look down on HK media. Their celebrities news are very big when is a super well-known celebrities

Both Sammi and Andy are super famous in Hong Kong and I'm quite sure most ppl know who they are in China as well.

This scandal spread like wildfire when it was out because all parts involved are all well known celebs, the girl Jacqueline who Andy cheated with is a rising star in TVB and her bf Kenneth is one of TVB's most promoted actors. 

 

I feel really bad for Sammi. She left the industry for a while because of severe depression so hope this won't cause a relapse. Don't have an opinion on Andy, never cared much for him which is good because...渣男. His written apology was one of those standard ones and his sob story at the press conference meh (hinted on that he was drunk blah blah). I've seen the clip from the taxi/car cam so whatever his explanation is idc.

 

As for Jacqueline and Kenneth never cared much for them either (bc I don't like their acting lol) but Kenneth seems like a nice guy and his image is quite clean too from what I know. He just hasn't had much luck with his love life. 

Read ppl comments about Jacqueline and it seems like ppl think of her as sly and acts innocent but isn't + she's seen constantly flirting with guys etc. I don't know if it's true or not but the fact that she did cheat...doesn't seem like they're wrong about her.

It has just started and since the news broke out except for Andy's press con all other parts are still silent. The media hasn't been able to reach them yet. They did come in contact with Kenneth's mom right after it broke out and when she was still unaware of what was happening. It was an ugly thing to do imo since his mom knew nothing and they even showed her the clip (she thought it was fake). Her son called her in the middle of the interview and told her not to talk to them anymore. 

Hard to say how long it'll go on for but it'll definitely leave some consequences. I think that Jacqueline will disappear from the screen for a while if not forever. Depends on how valuable she is for TVB.

 

I don't know if it has been proved that it was a taxi they were in. It could be an uber or something too. 

 

Edit: To make it worse Sammi and Jacqueline are/were friends. Kenneth has responded and he was pretty much defending her...or at least he isn't adding fuel to the fire.

What exactly do people get out of cheating? The resulting inevitable fallout is never worth it. Especially when you’re famous. I’m debating on whether it was stupidity or arrogance that had them acting out in public like that. You can’t even try the old “It’s not what it looks like†defense.
