I get that it's super melodramatic and not self-aware at all but I really enjoyed it in spite of all of that. I just love dark pop albums like Britney's Blackout, Madonna's American Life and Gaga's The Fame Monster/Born This Way. It's definitely not as good as any of those albums, but it's similar thematically. Both are darker albums from the artists. And I don't think the production is bad on Rep, it's super electronic which turned people off but it's nice she tried something different. Plus, at least it gave us Delicate, Call It What You Want and Getaway Car which are objectively fantastic songs. It's also cool that Taylor has a divisive/black sheep album in her discography. Getaway Car and I did something bad are some of my fave taylor songs of all time but compared to her other albums, its her weakest imo.
