Melon apologizes for the two times their site crashed on BTS comeback. (During the first hour + the next day)

I’ve seen people from other fandoms coming onto BTS’ profile to complain about them and the fans that made the app crash is it our fault the servers can’t handle the comeback lol

It's odd tho it crashed, I mean it was high UL's but under 1 million and 2 crashes? How does that make sense. It didn't even crash I don't think when IU hit like 1.4m oO?

I think for BTS, a lot of people logged in at the same time. For IU or other digimons, the UL increase as time goes on.

So basically the idea is that maybe say at one time 200-300k tried access at the same time?

I would think so too, but doesn't MelOn have like multiple million monthly users and at peak times have over 2m concurrent users?

Ok, so it's like every BTS fan basically couldn't wait lol and just hoped on at launch?

I have no idea why people think BTS doesn't attract the GP attention during initial release? It's never a first thought with BTS. AT ALL. It's always just fandom tuning in first/only.

Girl groups: GP is listening

YG boygroups: GP is listening

Other groups and soloists: GP is listening

BTS: Fandom streaming

This isn't directed at you btw but that narrative has been used so often with BTS (and negatively) that it is now beyond the scope of my comprehension why with BTS it's different?

I think it was a bit like ddos? When too many people try and access one thing at one moment, the server just can't handle it. That explains the first crash, but afterwards...I don't know, maybe general instability after the first crash?
