Why are girl groups so much easier to like?

Because most boygroups aren't conforming to general societal ideals of masculinity.

Which is a turn-off for some closeminded people.

Theres a lot less of a barrier for women. We are supposed to socialize with girls, admire them, etc etc. I also prefer gg over bg but I do stan one bg above all. Theres so much less judgment stanning a gg over a bg lol (it's kinda nice)

Girls are more loveable in general imo, but maybe that's just me cause I have trust issues with men

but when it comes to kpop it def has to do with how they are marketed, boys are made to be liked by a groups of fans a niche and girls are made to be likable to everyone

also like someone said it's easier for girls to pull off different kind of concepts smth that you also see irl

men are generally put in a small box when it comes to how they express themselves

also women are more attractive but again that's a personal preference

Well considering the target audience of KPOP in general (preteen and teenage girls and even young women sometimes), I guess GG's are a lot more relatable in terms of personality, interests, and life experiences. Not saying guys go similarly as well, but you know what I mean. Also, when it comes to marketing for KPOP groups, it's not just the music they're marketing, but it's their personalities (esp. on-camera) that they're putting forth as well, which can be used as a marketing strategy to attract more fans to their group or even the idols themselves. So, for the most part, it's just comes down with being relatable as people and life in general when it comes to the question and also considering the target audience.

I have one GG that I particularly stan and it's my ultimate KPOP bias group right now: MAMAMOO! However, my ultimate bias in KPOP overall is from a BB but I do have a female ultimate bias in KPOP from my ultimate KPOP bias group as well.

So overall, just comes down to personality and tastes. :)

its about the targeted market, girl groups capture both fanboys and fangirls while boy groups mainly target fangirls!

i wonder if there's any kpop boy group that has more fanboys than fangirls?! like in the west you have some bands that have a large male fanbase, someone will argue hey rock bands tend to attract male fanbase in general but even Day6, CNBlue, FT Island mainly have fangirls! cause their concepts mainly targets the female fanbase,

for example as a male fan i like a lot of western male bands, but i can't get into kpop boy bands cause the mainstream kpop boy bands like Day6, CNBlue have concepts that mainly target the female fanbase and they don't appeal to me, while female groups can do concepts that target female fanbase with 'girl crush' or cute concepts that target the male fanbase and they can do many other concepts,.

Their target audience is wider than the one of boy group's, not to mention they're more well received by media and the public, so by being something we're familiar with it's easier to get interested in them, enjoy them

And if you're a girl you can be more drawn to them because they're more relatable, so liking them is easier

That's at least how I see it lol
