Silicon 960 Posted April 12, 2019 Share Posted April 12, 2019 I was, or rather still am, a big Star wars fan but the last 2 mainline films have fucked that up and have lost interest in the movies. TFA wasn't bad but pretty much everything was a copy of new Hope, just a couple changes here and there. Still there was room for improvement especially as directors were saying the next one would really shake things up like empire strikes back did. .... The last Jedi happened and shat over everything. From established characters doing out of character things to major plot points leading nowhere it more or less destroyed anything good left. We all know Kylo was never supposed to be the real baddie but anyway, of course they had to touch George's character, bring him back to try to save this mess. Him being alive makes no sense to me and spits on the OG trilogy's ending. Joker laugh was Palpatine, I think. Thank you! I don't know why people just wanted a boring rehash of the original trilogy. You can't seriously say TLJ was better than TFA. What did Kylo achieve as a character or Rey or Finn or Poe? We never got to see Luke mourn over Han, or the Knights of Ren or Admiral Ackbar's death. Rian Johnson killed Snoke, the supposed to be big baddie with a cheap mind trick and weaponized light speed. As you can tell by their names, he is their leader and possible ex-students of Luke. They are in Rey's force vision for a very good reason and that scene will probably happen in this movie. I just wanted a movie where they respect the OG characters and where the plot makes sense but it was like a bad fanfiction rip off. Rian admitted he hates writing and he is a bad writer, idk why they gave that responsibility to him. Fun fact: the whole movie was made by his 1st draft, he never bothered to make a 2nd. My excitement for this film is not a lot given all the bts fuckery but they better not redeem Ben Solo, ISTFG. They will, just look at his face in the last scene of TLJ. Right? Well, the directors were male. Introduce Rey in TFA where she defeats a Sith in combat. A SITH who has combats skills a SCAVENGER like Rey cannot even match, got defeated by her. But Finn the Storm Trooper who still would not be able to match in combat with Kylo Ren, could not even scratch him. That's how I see it as SJW. I have not seen any major improvement in Rey's training other than having a weird ass intimate connection with Kylo Ren through the force in TLJ. There's really nothing significant about her power and her being able to defeat Kylo Ren in TFA is still unexplainable since we don't know how she has such power. Dont tell me JJ brought the fucking Emperor back Plot twist: Rey is Palpatine's lost granddaughter and she is now pregnant with Kylo Ren's child from sex through the force.
