Usagi. 13,668
groups should call out fans for toxic behavior tho In the video the interviewers are mostly asking if they were attacked by their fans, something that can pretty much happen a lot with groups, mostly with bgs, but he choose to not talk about it because he probably has more positive stuff to say about us. And i don't think artists should call out their fans over, what you probably mean, fanwars. They are not their fans parents, also sorry but people only want groups to call their fans out usualy because they want to be free to bash the group and not have their fans coming for their asses, same reason why people who bash bts love to remind armys about BTS campaign. Comely 1,415
It breaks my heart to see them get questions like this, it's obvious the interviewers want "tea" but the fans know what kind of extreme behavior is going on behind the scenes, we already condemn it ourselves and try to make it better for them.. *Justin Seagull* 31,298
groups should call out fans for toxic behavior tho Yeah that narrative is weak. Super Junior, BB and TVXQ never reigned in their fans for giving SNSD a black ocean so it's always weird that BTS is the only one that is expected of this. Truth. They come out swinging and then dart and hide behind BTS End Violence campaign.
satoori 45,814
groups should call out fans for toxic behavior tho I mean, why should they give attention to the negativity when there is so much positivity(the majority of the fandom) The Kpop community have a habit of exaggerating and focusing mainly on the negative parts of fandom culture, for some reason. vivianss 5,682
We all know not all BTS's experience is rainbow with some of their fans. They're annoyed, bothered, and stuffs.. But they never. Not even once calling out those behaviour personally. They have bighit making announcement, calling them out, banning peoples, and do the work for them. And obv Joon not consider those crazies as fans, what they said on this interviews not about them at all .

sasha 2,956
groups should call out fans for toxic behavior tho what kind of toxic behaviour we are talking about though? it's not a good idea for a celebrity to give a shout out to an extremely obsessed fans (e.g. stalkers), it's likely going to be interpreted as a desirable sign of attention. Guest
would be really nice if people stop putting words into my mouth. firstly I didnt meant to say that what Namjoon chose to say was wrong. its just that generally speaking, I wish groups would be able to defend themselves a little bit and talk openly about bad things that are happening in the fandom (every fandom, really). the fact that there is need to tiptoe around your own fandom is a proof that the overall atmosphere in the kpop community is not healthy at all. also I never said I expect it just from BTS, I just had that thought in the moment I saw this video. PurachinaDisuko 3,721
I really liked that twitter thread about it. There's a disgusting history of painting "fangirls" as crazy and wild (which is ofc misogyny - attacking young girl who are excited about something.....that's it) and I really appreciate Namjoonie not giving in to that shit. Of course there are fangirls who go above and beyond (in terms of violence), but I'm not talking about them.
