Cereal makers sold us a breakfast myth

Yea this is obvious. Even the "good for you" cereals that aren't just sugar aren't great for you nor necessary by any means. I don't eat breakfast unless I'm treating myself to something good and have never felt like it impacted me negatively.

One of the most popular cereals here is marketed as having lots of protein and as energising: a good start to the day. A bowl has like 40g of refined sugar.

Same goes for milk. Just google the milk letter. That’s why “scientific evidence†isn’t as objective as we’d like it to be. Scientists and labs need funding and often, these funding come from companies with vested interest. Eg, a dairy cartel/lobby group/company can fund a lab to discover the “health benefits†of milk and the results released to the public would obviously be skewed towards their favour.

I don’t avoid milk though, I just don’t drink it religiously like it’s something good for me. As with cereal, I eat and drink dairy products as a treat.

Exactly. If people cared to search about it they would find out vegetables have a lot more calcium than milk and milk that isn't human isn't and never was necessary for our health.
