On 6th and 7th April 2019, the AKB48 groups held a handshake event at the West Japan General Exhibition Center to celebrate the release of AKB48's new single, Jiwaru Days.

All members of NGT48 were absent on the first day. On the second day, all members excluding Yamaguchi [Maho]-san attended.

Based on reports from attendees, NGT48's Ogina Yuka cried when she saw fans lining up for her,  and suddenly lost her voice later that day. She had to gesture and write to communicate. She appeared to be emotionally drained from the bashing she received.
