Tiffany - "I remember putting a flower on my mom’s coffin at her funeral"

I was reading this interview that Tiffany did for her new album and she talked about "The Flower" and what inspired her to write it.

“Flowers have been very significant throughout my life. From sad and painful experiences and moments of loss, to joy and celebration. Specifically, I wrote this song because I wanted to comfort others who are struggling or need help. And the specific memory that inspired the song was that I remember putting a flower on my mom’s coffin at her funeral. I know it’s a little heavy. I wanted to write an uplifting song, but one that acknowledges both sides of the beauty and pain in a flower, or what the flower represents. That definitely is a special song for me.â€

The Flower is my favourite song on her album and I love how it encompasses the positive and negative symbolism of flowers. She has been so open when it comes to her vulnerabilities and I love her even more for it

Rest of the interview is here https://www.refinery29.com/en-us/2019/02/224903/tiffany-young-lips-on-lips-interviewand it is pretty interesting. She talks about what inspired her to write some of the other songs as well  lovestruck.png
