Do you think chiropractors are a scam?

It changed my cousin's life so no. And they have some pretty damn good knowledge of the anatomy and how joints/bones works so I don't get why you're dismissing them because they try to " sound like doctors ".

For anyone interested my cousin had a similar condition to this kid but due to poor weight training and treatments like these gradually got him walking properly again.

Because they aren’t doctors at all and people try to act like they are.

Obviously not but a sham chiropractor is much more common to find than a sham doctor. And it’s considerably easier to get a chiropractic degree than a medical degree when you look at how most of the stuff chiropractics study isn’t researched and tested that much in the first place

You are being ridiculous

How? I went to one and felt worse. My mom as well (and this was a trusted highly rated chiropractor) Went to an actual doctor later and am getting real solutions to my problems now that isn’t pseudoscience

Yeah I've heard of said scams where they have the bare minimum knowledge and fuck you over. But I don't get how that concludes that the entirety of chiropractic get is a scam lol and doctor's have been dismissing it since the age of the dinosaurs because it doesn't feed their agenda. Idk, I'd rather get scammed by a chiropractor first as opposed to spending 10k on surgery for my back which is irreversible and not guaranteed to work (this is what they told my cousin when he went in for consultation because he was desperate for any relief )

You're free to say they annoy you lol but doctors have misdiagnosed me multiple times so they're notalways a 100% sure fire plan either

Lol, just because of these two examples they are "fake" ? How do you explain surgeries that go wrong ? All of the surgeons are fake obviously. Dentist who injure your teeth accidentally ? Damn these pseudo dentists. You getting medicaments that didn't help you ? All these fake medicines. What about all the people that these chiropractors helped ? Myself included. These are not just some stories from some fairy tales.

I’m sure it works for some people but chiropractic practices or whatever the hell its called has far less research behind it than surgeries which have been documented for centuries

My aunt had some shoulder problems and was recommended 2 chiropractors by her doctor. The first seemed like a crack, supposedpy he didn't have much of a clue and whatever he did had no effect, arguably she felt even worse after visiting him

Reluctantly she visited the second one and this guy was the real deal. He assessed her, did some quick stretches and have her some exercises to try at home. By about a month her pain had gone completely.

So they are legit but because it's not a strictly regulated therapy I think people can do a basic course and be considered "qualified" to work as one.

After surgeries, it's one of the most common things to go to chiropractors, who then continue to get your body back in shape. I'm not talking about which one has more or less research. The point is, it's not scam.

Hmm maybe I will go back to another one but I’m afraid they are gonna fuck up my back again

I agree. I think they do help. You just have to do your research and find a good one with lots of experience. On the other hand, surgeries can’t fix everything too, some people become worse after surgery or have other side effects . Nothing is a guaranteed fix.

My dad went to a chiropractor and dude made him think his back was in need of serious therapy. He was injured as a result.

Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists are trained professionals who have taken extensive study into the science of movement and exercise. Chiropractors are conmen.

The ones with medical knowledge are the physios not the chiropractors
