Am I the only one not interested in owning physical albums?

Last time I bought one I was in middle school and it was Jojo and Ciaras debut albums,

physical albums can get lost and stolen and albums in the digital age can easily be downloaded

It depends for me. For a US artist or something I'd rather just get digital since I don't find the packaging usually interesting... at all. For K-Pop however I tend to like the packaging plus they have the cards that come with it, so I much prefer physical to digital.

I do think it eventually becomes a waste of money because when you grow older... what do you even do with them? It just takes up a lot of space (and it's way more expensive than buying a digital album). With that said, I do still occasionally buy physical albums because I like the packaging, even though I know I don't know what to do with them later lmao.

I collected almost all of Soshi's albums and a bunch of their merch, spend a lot of money on them. I don't quite regret it since I still have most of it and like to have it, but I don't buy anything other than digital releases for groups/songs I like now. I don't want to end up not wanting their stuff in a few years' time and end up tossing it away, it'd be a waste of money.

tbh I'm not super interested in physical albums except if they're really well designed (exo TPOM) or if they have a lot of """personal""" members stuff in it (like exo the war version c has those cute interviews)

and either way I only buy physicals to support the people I REALLY stan so basically exo only lol (and I guess luhan if he ever decides to release another album)

otherwise digitals >>>>>

I grew older and I'm not interested in buying it anymore xD I was a collector but I just lost the will to buy it.

I mean if it's not something you're interested in than don't spend the money, but I really like owning physical albums. I also really like owning physical books (even if I read the e-version). For the reason the physical copy just feels different to me.

I've sold about a half of the albums I've once bought, but luckily people buy them for really good price in my country. And I don't regret buying any of them (except for one extra copy of one album, what was I even thinking....). If they once brought me a lot of joy, then I think it's worth. Everybody grow up and change, but it doesn't mean that you shouldn't enjoy the things you find important right now.

I remember when I got my first one (Taeyeon - My Voice) and the excitement of getting that one made me really want more, so I bought 2 more but then after that I realized they just sit in my room and do nothing so my interested faded lol so I haven't bought any since 2017 :P

I want to support my faves, but I think ill just have to stop buying them from now on. my bank locked online purchases bc of shady activity lol.. i just buy very impulsively. and they didnt contact or anyting, i'd need to contact them to fix it which...i dont rly like talking to people..so im just letting it be and cancelling my subscriptions, and regular online purchase i'd do.. its an excuse to save money bc i often am buying things, then not using them hhh. its not easy cuz i want to support my faves, but i also wanna save money more.

Used to be a collector of physical albums. But now I don’t collect albums just Digital. I still will be buying BTS new album because they have made it easy by selling it locally at Walmart. But after I open the album and take what I want from it such as the poster or stickers, etc and than I sell it at a discounted price to help other fans who can’t afford or want to complete collection.

For example I bought Tear and kept the poster. Bought Answer and kept the stickers. Sold everything else. Still fun unboxing to see what photocard I get but I don’t collect photo cards so I sell that too.

Never thought I would be able to go down the street and buy my faves album just like that so it’s hard to resist but I don’t keep it.

I never bought a physical release of anything before EXID's albums lmao. The pretty styling and extras really help, especially considering I cannot even play these CDs (region lock).
