BLACKPINK’s new music will be released at the same time globally.

It was confirmed that the release of 'KILL THIS LOVE' will unexpectedly be at 0AM.

This was done at the request of Universal Music Group to target not just the domestic market but the global market as well.

0AM KST?

if it's KST, will it be good or bad? because the songs will only be charted at 6 or 7 PM KST for Melon, Genie, etc

99% they gonna debut at #1 and the chart will freeze at 1am, so they are gonna stay there until 7am aka the next update.

it will affect their ULs, and probably roof hits, because people tend to listen a lot during the first couple hours of release, but for BP, I think it will not affect much, they are gonna hit the roof anyway ln the next day (probably debut at roof even), and YG/UMG dont seem to care much abt the roof hits.

How does releasing it at 12am KST cater to the global market? I don't understand

It will be a morning release for the US market

also a lot of oldschool kpop fans like midnight release better - for SEA fans (where BP dominate), 0am kst is when most of them are home/don’t have work/study already and they can literally stream their ass off for their idol

Songs dont debut at 1am on the charts after the reform in 2017 lel

If they do there would be no issue
