As a teenager, I had no self-esteem or confidence, so weirdly, when people showed interest about me, I was... aggressively ignoring them and being sometimes even rude to them. It was fucked up really, and stupid, but I just couldn't understand what they were seeing in me, wallowing in self-hatred, so I was reacting violently to it. However, a couple of weeks ago, a friend of mine confessed that she has a huge crush on me, and I just couldn't help find that endearing, cute and tell her so, and hug her.
