When asked if she has a rivalry of sorts with IU in terms of getting leading roles, Eunji said, "IU and I are the same age and we're friends. We even keep in touch. IU has the things I lack and I have the charms that IU lacks. I doubt there would be an overlap in the characters we personally act out. Rather than thinking whether I can fix my position as a lead, I want to show the audience a good side to myself through good portrayal of the character I have in the production."
