Ibuprofen helps with cramps. lots of cheap thin pads help with blood. i get the small ones and use multiple if i need to.

um, if weed's legal where you live, that helps lol.

hot water bottles/heated pads help a lot. also taking a nap, usually my cramps are way better after I wake up. So try and take a nap if you can.

If yours is as bad (or worse) than mine no pain relievers will help

I used to sneak my moms 800mg ibuprofen she was prescribed after surgery to help relieve my cramps and that shit would only work for 1-2 hours

Nothing has ever helped me except for going on birth control and despite BC giving me a bunch of annoying side effects like weight gain/water retention I just deal with it cause nothing is as bad as my cramps

I love taking long hot baths during my period, it really relaxes the muscles. Otherwise, lots of painkillers, drinking plenty of fluids and applying heat to whatever area hurts the most. Exercise does really help too.

painkillers. i always carry ibuprofen with me in case period cramps begin. also breathing techniques and heating pad help me a lot. my period pains are so severe sometimes, it really sucks that we're like this while some women never go through cramps.

Depending on if your country/culture allows it, and if its affordable, look into birth control to manage terrible cramps. That got me through it when I was younger.

Nowadays I kind of plan ahead. I learn to recognize my premenstural symptoms (different for everyone) and I do the following:

- take ibuprofen beforehand. That way you wont have to deal with the symptoms as they start.

- cut down on sugar/caffeine a few days before cramps. Anything that dehydrates you, you should try to reduce right before the cramps start.

- drink lots of water before and during your period. This helps with body temp as I tend to overheat when I get cramps.

- make sure your bowels are clear (TMI I know, sorry, but if you get constiapted during your period it makes cramps hurt more)

Also a few things to do during cramping to help:

- lay down on your back and prop your legs up. this relieves stress on your body. If you youre not in class/work or anyting.

- If you are prone to panic attacks I might suggest using ice packs instead of heat packs. I normally start getting panic attacks when I cramp up too bad because of body temp rising. So Ice/cold water/fans and breathing techniques helps me manage that until the medicine kicks in
