1st day #549

2nd day #759

3rd day #965

If you're below the top 1000, we won't even be able to see them in the chart anymore

original post: here

1. I really like Stray Kids but they seem to have no public appeal

2. It looks like their genre is their biggest weakness. They're doing even worse than Day6, even Day6 aren't charting well compared to their good music, is it because of their band concept?

3. I didn't feel the song this timeã… ã…  I listen to a lot of boy group songs and I like Stray Kids but this is my opinion

4. I'm another group's fan and their song is good, try listening to it

5. For a male group, who usually rely on their fanclub, this ranking is looking pretty bad for them

6. The song is fine but the first rapper was so so... And the MV is no comment

7. For JYP, their girl groups have both international and domestic recognition while for male groups, it's mostly international, their response looked fine internationally

8. The song is good so this is a shameã… ã… ã… ã…

9. The song is good and the stage is good too though?

10. Last time a lot of people swore at them for not selling their albums, it's really hard for male idols to gain recognition through digital sales if they don't have fandom power

as long as they keep making from their albums + touring which will allow them to come out with more albums, i'm fine! same with got7 and day6, they get put down because they have high digital ranks but my kings will sleep knowing their bank accounts are full!

I mean other than Bts, Exo, Winner, Ikon,(not sure if Block B is considered 3rd gen) what other 3rd Gen boy groups have done well in charting?

Nu'est has started to chart pretty nicely as well. they get talked about much in the intl scene after produce ( low yt views and everything ) but they'd been doing very well on the korean charts since they came back and i think they'll do even better with minhyun...seventeen charts pretty good as well..i don't know how long they stay on the charts but they do good

ah shoot I knew I forgot Seventeen and yeah Nu'est does well too. But imo its still not that many 3rd gen boys that do well. Not that many girls either but they have a better chance and all big 3 girl groups have done/are doing well.

this is true, which is why i don't get that upset over charting low or calling them flops like knetz like to do. i'd be more worried if they weren't selling albums because i know at least with selling albums and then touring and then other things they can continue to make music and have promotions. the truly sad ones are the ones people can't call flops because they don't know them or singers slowly having to stop promoting because there isn't enough money to keep them going but thats just me

The GP has always favored girl groups like even with top groups ggs do better digitally than bgs for the most part

So what JYPE really needs to focus on is helping their fandom grow! Fandoms can do so much people really do underestimate and dismiss fandom power because “it’s just fangirls†but fans put in that WORK

Wish them the best of luck this is my favorite song they’ve released since debut. They’re all so talented too they deserve to rise

the answer is right here

1. I really like Stray Kids but they seem to have no public appeal

as much as i personally like their visuals, they don't have a member that's rlly "the face" of the group in any sense of the term, and their music is just, not what most people are into these days. their concept/ theme is also all over the place in a not so good way. i think this whole push for them to be a "self produced" group is hurting them. they need something more than this.

yeah this, I feel like they might be one of those groups that work better being fully managed by their agency as opposed to the members themselves being in charge of production

seems Stray Kids are suffering from the same issue NCT is having

incredibly devoted international fans that give them monster album sale numbers but when it comes to the public's reaction to their songs its pretty much nonexistent

It's pretty much this. They need to gain a solid domestic fanbase that give them visibility in the charts because the public usually don't check out boygroups unless they're already established and/or are from YG. You need at least a domestic fanbase of the size of Monsta X or NCT fanbase to chart in the top 100. And it's not like JYP is doing that much to promote them properly in Korea.
