Estimated Top Group Sales By End Of 2019

Authors note: Y'all I tried basically seperating Gaon from Oricon but you know what.

Fuck that noise. So Oricon and Gaon are combined. Too much of a headache. It literally took like 3 hours to compose this, separating everything then trying to justify why some stay combined and why some are separate would've taken me an extra 2-3 hours. No thank you. This is me looking at growth patterns, previous sales, release rates, and assuming stability for all groups. These are ball park numbers not 100%. Just whats likely. I could be 100 ~ 1,000,000 sales off depending if things such as scandals, dungeonfication, less releases than expect, an unforeseeable drop in sales, crippled economy etc.

Nice! So many good artists!

I feel this relevant to share here. Hopefully BTS have another great year. They were the only Kpop artist on the list last year.

Also if I am wrong on numbers please let me know respectfully.

I've literally had to look at 25+ groups full albums, each single, each ep, each compilation album.

Add them up and make sure the numbers looked correct. Then had to simulate sales for newer groups to get estimated numbers

My braincells hurt. I started at 6:59 and finished at 9:23

WOW! IZ*ONE THOUGH! rlytearpls.png

Whew if we use the method I used for this chart.

Queenies should have 3,950,000+ by the time they disband.

Assuming they have 6 releases this year, 6 in 2020, and 2 in 2021.

OP, BTS will most likely sell 2M+ in Japan alone this year.

When I tell you our fandom in almost every region is growing at an alarming rate, please take my word for it.

A few things.

- I low balled it for every single new gen artist. So they might end up having higher sales.

- I don't want to jinx it

Well since that number is the combination of 'actual numbers' + 'estimated numbers', and none of us know what method you use to find the estimated number, we also have no info of the 'actual numbers' you use to calculate this. So, I don't think anyone can find out whether you count this right or wrong, no?

Well, I literally stated my methods up in my post. You can read them if you like.

I was talking more for the 2nd and 1st gen groups.

Thanks though.

I already read it, I still find it impossible to find out whether you calculate it right or wrong with just that info tho. And the fact that you didn't state the 'actual numbers' or separate 'actual numbers' with 'estimated numbers' makes it even harder. Yk, maybe you count the 'actual sales' incorrectly from the beginning, so of course the 'estimated sales' will be inaccurate as well. But since you didn't state the 'actual sales' here, how are we suppose to find out whether you count it right or wrong since beginning.

As I said, you can easily literally look up their sales i their sales threads. It's what I used. Also used Oricon sales thread too. And Gaon.

It's not that hard lmao. And it was less "help me with estimations" and more of

if any Second/First gen numbers look off let me know.

I know that, but how can I know whether you calculate the 'actual numbers' correctly or not?

The only 2nd Gen group on that list that ever got estimated numbers was TVXQ

All the other groups wont be together in a group capacity.

Many of them have

A.) Disbanded

B.) Enlisted

C.) Doing Solos or Subunits.
