I think groups like AS or Sistar could be successful even in this gen is promoted correctly. Instead we have trillion groups with barely any differences between them. Their song were bomb, but other than this they kinda were typical girl group of their era. We could go with their party vibe. But then it would be recreated vibe. Same goes for example for Soshi cause Twice is giving similar vibes as group or 2NE1 who has BlackPink. Which doesnt belitle their contribution to second gen. The thing about concept changes isnt a thing nowafays because there are much more groups so instead of having one group for all type of music, people search for a group depending on their mood (what do they want to listen to). Thats why most groups who suddenly changed concept flopped. If I was about to compare Red Velvet dual concept to any 2nd gen group, it would be Secret with switching between sugary cute and seriously sexy.
