How do you feel if the only reason why someone liked you or dated you was because you looked like someone else?

If the person reminds you of a celebrity, idol, etc. I guess it could be flattering.  Still.. if that is the only reason why they are dating you ... could suck.

 

Or worse... if you date someone or someone is dating you only because you remind them of their -EX (who they got dumped by) would also suck!

If I reminded them of someone from their past, I would be very saddened and feel that their feelings weren't genuine in the first place. I would break it off even if it would make me sad. As for a celebrity, I would be more "okay" with it for some reason lol

I think that would really suck IMO... but... guess it also depends on your standards.  Some possibly could care less the reason why someone is dating them if all they wanted maybe is companionship or purely sexual.

The Japanese movie called Love Letter (The one Jihyo portrayed in What is love) deals with such an issue.

 

If it was just friendship, I Wouldn't mind that much. But I would be crushed if I know my boyfriend dates me only because I look like someone else, especially someone he was also romantically involved with. I would break-up with that person, I want to believe I am a completely lovable person all on my own and I deserve someone to love me for who I am.

95% true for guys, but I disagree that MOST of girls judge based on the looks. Sure, most girls won't be attracted to dirty and totally unattractive dude. But looks are just preliminary phase (girls picking guys), it's like having Language test certificate as long as you satisfy the requirement, score does not matter. Generally and from my experience, confidence and "swag (standing out)" is what turns women on (considering we are talking about heterosexual relationships)

 

Guys just care about how girls look mostly, that's it :D
