All fandoms want their artists to do well, it's understandable... But when it comes to an incompetent company that frequently ruins careers or don't lets them flowrish to their fullest potential, and is within legally sketchy territory to say the least, it's about time fans make a statement and make clear who really has the power: there's no gain if fandoms and public don't support.

All this time, YG has developed an abusive relationship with their artists, and their fans. Most, if not all of them, can be considered successful. In spite of that, the company has affected their careers by giving them zero comebacks nor significant activity outside music while playing obvious favorites. That puts useless pressure on fans as well, as they're coerced for nothing, because no matter if the artist does well, they'll be either dungeoned, be given little songs, or get ridiculously small productions. YG is expecting high reward with little effort and constant mistreatment towards their own workforce.

If justice won't prevail, it's up to fans and the public to make a statement about the long-standing abuses from YG entertainment towards their own artists. We also have to consider the presumption that the company is also involved with the past presidency (rife with corruption btw), and the crimes related to the Burning Sun scandal. 5 clubs owned by YG and his brother are under suspicion of tax evasion, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

If someone wonders, I'm not talking because I'm detached from YG artists. In fact, that company houses some of my all time favorites, and I know they deserve much better than what YG has given them all this time. If money keeps flowing in, stockholders won't budge, that's sadly how this works.

The public may turn their backs... But can fandoms understand this urgency and act accordingly?

I highly doubt the people who are gonna be "boycotting" YG artists were even streaming in the first place. You can't boycott a product you were never a consumer of.

It's not us you need to convince but it's the actual YG stans who are gonna stream their faves regardless.

They're the ones who need to change their patterns for change to happen.

The biggest YG fandom right now are blinks but there's no way they will boycott the company, the didn't even boycott them when they lied to, scammed, deceived over and over again, the empty promises, unpromoted, absence of content, unfair treatment..... They sure as hell won't boycott them now. Someone said that the relationship between YG and the fandoms is kinda like a toxic relationship and it's true,
