It's from twitter actually so i can't really confirm the effectiveness since i haven't tried it too, but it has a lot of RTs. Basically just scan around the hotel room or public bathroom lights off with your phone camera, if you see any red light it means the room is bugged. So you phone dies after 2 years and you are beyond the warranty, you can still have it repaired by the manufacturer or the Point of sale (I don’t know who is responsible for the repair.) I know some countries like the UK and Australia have consumer law, but the Us sucks at things like this (it’s not corporation friendly) so I didn’t know any states had any sort of consumer protection like this. Doesn't really work that reliably, and really depends on how much your phone picks up IR light.
