I would never do it & I could never be friends with someone who did it to me.

 

I would unfriend you so fast if that was my ex.

If the breakup was amicable and a long time ago maybe I'd be ok with it. But if you're friends with me while I'm dating this guy, comfort me after we break-up, listen to me complain about him etc etc and still date him after me. That's just weird.

Personally, I think it would depend on who it is.

 

If their relationship with your friend lasted like, 4 years, then I would advise otherwise.

 

But if they were like 4 months together... Is there seriously any problem?

Even in circumstances where the relationship was long over and they ended in more or less good terms and my friend would tell it would be ok for me to date her ex I still don't believe them and feel weird and guilty, lol.

While technically speaking there's nothing illegal about it, I still see it as something most rational people like me would feel as wrong.

I don't think I'd be interested in dating a friend's ex, just bc I'd probably have a prejudiced opinion against them.

 

If my friend wanted to date my ex, I'd hate it. My ex was terrible. lol
