Polaris_Tae 1,617 Posted March 19, 2019 Share Posted March 19, 2019 ^ with both DC and Marvel Studios working on films containing POC superheroes, let's talk about our favourite POC heroes Val-Zod AKA Earth 2 Superman The second incarnation of Superman on Earth 2 after the dath of Superman (Kal-El), powers identical to the original superman idk much about Val-Zod, but I'm looking to read some comics that involve him, I've heard great things about this guy ~ Jaime Reyes AKA Blue Beetle: Latin American from El-Paso, Texas, bonded with an alien scarab that gives him superpowers, member of the Teen Titans. The third Blue Beetle, I like his character in Young Justice and how he plays off of Impulse (the grandson of The Flash) John Stewart Green Lantern: The fourth Green lantern, member of the Green Lantern Cops, the Intergalactic Police corps, initial design based on the actor Sidney Poitier. She's one of the best characters, much more interesting than the one from the cartoon personality wise tbh. Its like they reversed and Raven now is more fragile (prob bc she's the youngest and still afraid of her dark superpowers) and Starfire is more badass. Storm Cyborg Static I've only watched a few superhero films (Spiderman 1, The Dark Knight, Wonder Woman, Black Panther), but I watched these cartoons religiously. Never bothered with the comics because there are too many and yes, I'm lazy lol Kinda of a fake superhero fan, no? But yeah, I really like these three! Specially Virgil. TBH my first POC fave was/is Robin Grayson, because I always believed he was of gypsy/Indian origin. Yeah, on the live action TV show.
